Welcome Back! I truly enjoyed meeting many of you and your children. The students seems to be excited about being in second grade and enthusiastic about learning. I am looking forward to getting to know your child better and working with you to provide quality learning experiences. I am confident it is going to be a wonderful year!
I would like to share some general information about our classroom with you.
COMMUNICATION
A Friday folder will be sent home with your child each Friday. Information sent home each Friday in this folder may include:
When your child comes home with this folder on Fridays, please review the information within, sign the folder acknowledging that you have seen it, and return it to school with your child on Monday.
I believe communication is an important support to your child's educational and personal growth. Please do not hesitate to call me or write me a note when a question or concern arises, and I will do the same.

HOMEWORK
A list of homework assignments (for the week) will be given each Friday and should be kept in the home folder for daily reference. If there is a reason your child is unable to complete an assignment, please send me a note and your child will have added time to complete his/her assignment.
In addition to homework, I am encouraging the students to read for at least fifteen minutes each night. This is the most important homework!
